From Burnout to Balance: How I Created These Reformer Pilates Retreats for Women Who Need a Break
A few years ago, I was really struggling. I was deep in perimenopause, feeling all the shifts and chaos that come with it — mood swings, exhaustion, anxiety, extreme anger, and a constant sense of being thrown off balance. On top of that, I was overwhelmed with work, family, and all the demands of everyday life. I was giving everything to everyone else, always pushing through, but inside I felt like I was barely holding it together…
Eventually, I hit a wall. I was physically and emotionally drained. Nights were restless, my stress was sky-high, and I felt like I was losing myself in the process. I knew I couldn’t keep living like that something had to give.
That experience, as difficult as it was, became a turning point for me. I realised that I needed to slow down, to take space just for myself, and to reconnect back to me, not mum me, not work me, not friend me, just me. But how could I do that in my everyday life? I knew I wanted to do breathwork sessions, simple techniques to take me from stress to calm, ice bath sessions to build my confidence back that I can do difficult things! And really time to just be, no rushing, no doing 10225552 at one. You relate?
So that’s why I created these Reformer Pilates retreats. It’s a space for women like me and women like you who are tired, overwhelmed, and trying to find their footing again.
From September 1-3, 2025, I want you to come and give yourself that gift.
The retreat is about more than just Reformer Pilates (though there will be plenty of sessions led by caring, experienced instructors). It’s about nourishing your mind and soul too. You’ll experience a breathwork workshop that helps shift your perspective, an ice bath to awaken your senses and build resilience, a beautiful sound bath by sunset, guided meditation to help you have the best nights sleep.
All of this takes place in the beautiful, peaceful landscape of southern Portugal. The fresh air, quiet mornings, and stunning scenery create the perfect environment to unwind and heal.
If you’re anything like me, worn out, trying to manage life’s changes or just feeling like you’re carrying too much — I want you to remember: you’re not alone. And you don’t have to keep going on empty. You deserve a moment to pause, to reconnect, and to nourish yourself.
Spaces are limited, so if this resonates, I encourage you to reserve your spot. Come join us, breathe, move, learn, and most importantly give yourself permission to rest and reset. Because taking care of yourself isn’t just good for you it’s good for everyone around you, too.
I can’t wait to see you in September, ready to reconnect with your strength and find your balance again. You can find all of the details here.
