Most people do not know this about me. They know I run the studio in Almancil. They know about the group classes and the private sessions. But they do not always know that I also bring the retreat to you. That I will come to your villa, set up my Reformer, and give you and your friends something genuinely special.
I have run twelve private Reformer Pilates retreats in the past twelve months. Twelve. And every single one has been different, because every group is different. But they all have one thing in common: people leave feeling better than when they arrived, and they always say they wish they had done it sooner.
What This Actually Means
You hire a beautiful villa in the Algarve. You bring your friends. And instead of trying to find a Pilates studio that can accommodate a group, or booking a class at a resort that does not quite fit your schedule, I come to you.
I bring my Reformer equipment. I bring eight years of living in Portugal, knowing the best chefs, the best local suppliers, the best practitioners in the area. I bring twelve months of running retreats back to back and knowing exactly what works and what does not. And I put it all together for you, in your space, on your schedule.
This is not a package holiday. It is a bespoke experience built around you and your group. Every retreat I run is different because every group has different needs, different goals, and a different idea of what a perfect few days looks like.
The Irish Ladies. November.
In November last year I ran a retreat for twelve wonderful Irish women who came over to the Algarve together. It was one of those groups where you could feel the energy the moment they arrived. They were there to move, to laugh, to eat well, and to genuinely enjoy themselves.
We did breathwork together each morning. We did Reformer Pilates. We had incredible food. And I brought in a massage therapist so that everyone could have proper bodywork during the retreat. By the end of it, the group had gone from twelve individual women to something that felt much more like a community. That is what happens when you give people space and good movement and good food. They open up.
The French Ladies. February. Almancil.
In February I ran a retreat for four French women in Almancil. Smaller group, different energy, equally wonderful. We did breathwork every morning. We did Reformer Pilates. And I arranged for a chef to come and cook for them. Proper, delicious, home-cooked food. Not restaurant food. Not catered event food. Real food, made with care, in the kitchen of the place they were staying.
There is something about that combination of movement and nourishment that I never get tired of seeing. People arrive a little tired, a little disconnected from their bodies, and by day two they are sleeping better, moving better, and talking about how they want to do it again.
Vilamoura. June. Six Women. Seven Days.
In June I have another retreat. Six wonderful women at a villa in Vilamoura. Seven days. Twice-daily Reformer Pilates classes. Morning and evening. That is a lot of Reformer, and it is exactly what they have asked for.
This is what I mean when I say bespoke. Some groups want one class a day and the rest of the time to themselves. Some groups want to be fully immersed. Some want food arranged, some want to cook themselves. Some want massage, some want breathwork, some want both. I work with each group to build something that actually fits them.
What I Bring to Every Retreat
Eight years of living in Portugal. I know this place properly. I know the chefs who will cook food that makes people go quiet with pleasure. I know the massage therapists who are genuinely exceptional. I know the hidden spots, the good wine, the places that are worth the drive. My partner Alex is Portuguese. This is his home. That matters.
Twelve retreats in twelve months. I have learned what works. I have learned what does not. I have learned that the breathwork at the start of the day changes everything. That the quality of the food is not a detail, it is central. That a group of women given space and movement and proper nourishment will surprise themselves every time.
And I have learned that the best retreats are the ones where I am not just a teacher who shows up with equipment. I am part of the experience. I am there for the whole thing.
Who This Is For
It is for groups of friends who want to do something genuinely memorable together. It is for the person who organises the group holidays and wants to offer something better than a spa day. It is for women who love Pilates and want to share that with the people they care about. It is for anyone who has ever thought about a wellness retreat and wondered if there was a version that felt personal rather than packaged.
Groups can be as small as four people or as large as twenty. Day retreats, overnight stays, multi-day experiences. All of it is possible. All of it is built around you.
How to Enquire
The easiest way to start a conversation is via WhatsApp or email. Both are on the Contact page. Tell me roughly what you have in mind, how many people, what dates, and where you are staying or thinking of staying. I will come back to you quickly and we can work out whether what you are imagining is possible and what it would look like.
There is no obligation. I am genuinely happy to have an initial conversation and give you a sense of what is realistic. If it feels right, we go from there.
